FESTIVITIES MARKING THE 20th ANNIVERSARY OF THE EPISCOPAL CONSECRATION OF ARCHBISHOP SIMON OF BRUSSELS AND BELGIUM - 11 APRIL 2007

On Wednesday 11 April 2007, Monseigneur Simon, the Russian Orthodox Archbishop of Brussels and Belgium, will celebrate his 20 years as a bishop.

The festivities marking the occasion will take place in the Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Brussels (http://www.podvorje.com), beginning with the Divine Liturgy, presided by Archbishop Simon.

Every is invited: clergy, monks and faithful of the dioceses of Belgium and the Netherlands, and friends of the church.

The liturgical celebration will begin with the ceremony of the welcome of Archbishop Simon at 10.30 (liturgical colour: red).

Services are conducted in the Old Church-Slavic language.
